NEST CRAFTY WORKSHOP

Ahhhh, the thrill of seeing another pretty craft party come together!  The theme of our most recent workshop was Nest Crafty--and man did we adore rocking out this springtime soiree.  To set the stage for inspiring our guests to make their homes a more wonderfully handmade sort of place, Amanda covered the walls of her home with pretty paper fans and tissue paper flowers...I hope she keeps them up all year! It was so rewarding to see so many beautiful, creative girls spend a Saturday afternoon and get their hands dirty making lovely things for their homes. Some of the attendees were ultra-talented creative business owners who wanted to take a break from their daily craft and enjoy creating new things.  Others were regular girls whose busy lives never allow them leisure time to get crafty--or never quite get their projects off the ground.  Some of us fell into both categories. ;)

Since almost everyone at the party was meeting each other for the first time, we had a tray of simple crafty name tags at the door.  Amanda made these out of Ball jar lids, a coat of chalkboard paint, and hot glued pretty clay flowers to the front and pins to the back!  LOVE!

Throughout the afternoon, each lady rotated through our project stations and created 6 different crafts.  We potted succulent terrariums in glass vases, and decorated them with mini mushrooms, banners, and lace trim.  We used pretty fabrics to sew throw pillows, create custom mouse pads, and wall hangings with embroidery hoops.  We pounded out old spoons and embossed them with sweet words for our gardens.  We decorated jars with lovely ribbons and washi tapes, to store change, pencils, etc.  We loved watching each others' projects take shape. We made new friends, shared inspiring ideas, and ate lots of sugar!!

Not only did we have goodies, giveaways, and treats for everyone, but we also sent each lovely lady home with an awesome screen printed BE CRAFTY canvas tote, a little gift of hand soap + a handmade hand towel,  plus some extra craft supplies from our sponsors!  We felt so lucky to have so many talented creative vendors partner with us to make the workshop extra fabulous.  Please find their shops and products by clicking the links on the left.
